Introduction
Ashcroft Technology Academy is a state-funded school, independent of local authority control. The Academy is sponsored by Lord Ashcroft, KCMG, who was also the founder sponsor of the former ADT College.
Building on the highly successful tradition and reputation of ADT College, Ashcroft Technology Academy, with £14 million of new buildings and refurbishment, offers new and wider opportunities to achieve the highest possible standards of learning for our students.
The Trustees of the Academy are responsible for the arrangements for admitting children. The Academy will admit 210 students into Year 7 in 2018. Up to 21 places will be offered to children who show aptitude for Technology. After the admission of the students with an Education, Health and Care Plan where the Academy is the named school and the Specialist places, the remainder of the places will be offered to children from across the full range of ability with priority given to those in public care or previously in public care, those with siblings, those whose parents who have been employed by the Academy for a minimum of two years and then to those living nearest to the Academy.
